One of the finals I have been working on the last couple of weeks. I plan on making this a real fighting game, featuring members of the Jet City Saber Guild (a non profit organization that specializes in lightsaber fight choreography) in iconic locations around Seattle, where we are based at.
This short animation is just a concept of what I want to do. Not very refined, as I had very limited time to complete this in, as you can tell with only 2 fights who both only have 2 images for the sprite movement. However, I am currently looking for a team to work on this. Perhaps this will be one of the projects I get to lead during mod team I and II.
It's been far too long since I've updated this blog. It's because I have been really busy doing a lot of things. One of those reasons, I'm about to showcase in this post. So I am a member of the Jet City Saber Guild here in Seattle, WA. We were asked by the Pacific Science Center (PSC) if we could provide a performance for the opening night of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. And we of course said, "YES!" These photos are from our promotional video shoot for PSC as well as for the local news KOMO (you can find that video segment here.) One of our Guild members (Suspi Photography) was awesome enough to take still photos during this time, and I got my hands on them to edit. I had so much fun doing it too, especially the animated one of me fighting (a happy accident at first.) It was really exciting to actually edit some photos of my costumed friends, something I want to do more of.
Here are some of my photos from various shoots in 2014. It's taken me quite some time to go through them, and I still have many more that I wouldn't mind sharing after doing some editing. While going through my memory dumped files, I realized that I am quite fortunate to have been able to, not only venture in such beautiful parts of the Pacific Northwest, but to also call this area home. It's been an unforgettable experience ever since I've moved here.
Featured here are photos from Ellensburg, Seattle, and Mount Rainier National Park.
